Do I need my employer to be a recognised sponsor for a Dutch ICT permit?

Unlike some Dutch work routes, recognised-sponsor status is not strictly required for an ICT application. An employer that is not a recognised sponsor can still apply.

However, using a recognised sponsor speeds up the procedure, while applications by unrecognised sponsors face additional checks and conditions. Given the IND decision period can run up to 90 days and may involve a UWV assessment, many companies prefer to obtain recognised-sponsor status to keep transfers on schedule.
