Yes. It can be lost through long absences from the EU (or from Latvia), giving false information, voluntary renunciation, or acquiring another EU/EEA citizenship.
EU long-term resident status is durable but not unconditional. PMLP can withdraw it for prolonged absence outside the EU (and there is a separate, longer limit on absence from Latvia specifically), as well as for providing false information or voluntary renunciation.
Status also ends if you acquire EU/EEA citizenship. If you plan to spend extended time outside Latvia or the EU, check the current absence limits with PMLP first so you do not inadvertently forfeit your status.
