Temporary residence for business is a temporary status, but the time you spend lawfully residing in Slovakia on it counts toward the residence history required for EU long-term residence, generally five continuous years.
From long-term residence you can in turn progress toward permanent residence. To keep this path open, renew your business permit without gaps, keep your business genuinely operating, and continue to meet income, accommodation and insurance conditions throughout.
