A concrete job offer from a Swedish employer, with pay and conditions at least matching Swedish collective agreements and above the Migration Agency's minimum salary level.
Sweden's work permit is employer-driven: you must already have a binding job offer before you apply. The salary, insurance and other terms have to be at least equal to what Swedish collective agreements or normal practice in the occupation require, and the salary must reach the minimum threshold the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket) applies, which is set as a percentage of the national median salary. Your employer must also provide health, life, employment and pension insurance. Highly qualified applicants can apply for the EU Blue Card instead, which has its own salary rules and better family and mobility rights.
