A family permit depends on the relationship, so if it ends the dependent permit can be withdrawn, but you may apply to switch to an independent residence permit on humanitarian non-temporary grounds.
Because the family residence permit is granted on the basis of your relationship, the end of that relationship (for example through divorce or separation) removes the original ground for residence, and the permit can be withdrawn.
However, you may be able to apply for an independent residence permit on humanitarian non-temporary grounds, particularly if you have already lived in the Netherlands for a qualifying period. After holding a family-based permit for five years you may also qualify for permanent residence. If your relationship is at risk, get advice promptly so you can preserve your options.
