Because the family residence permit is granted on the basis of your relationship, the end of that relationship (for example through divorce or separation) removes the original ground for residence, and the permit can be withdrawn.

However, you may be able to apply for an independent residence permit on humanitarian non-temporary grounds, particularly if you have already lived in the Netherlands for a qualifying period.
