Stamp 2 is for full-time courses on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP) and allows work; Stamp 2A is for courses not on the ILEP and does not allow any work.
Stamp 2 is granted to students taking a full-time course that appears on the official Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP). It carries casual work rights of up to 20 hours per week in term and 40 hours during holidays.
Stamp 2A is for full-time study on a course that is not on the ILEP. Students on Stamp 2A are not permitted to work at all. Confirming that your course is on the ILEP before you enrol is therefore important if you intend to work.
