What conditions must I personally meet to qualify for a Romanian work permit?

Beyond having a job offer, you as the applicant must satisfy several personal conditions. The position's training and experience requirements must be met, so your qualifications and background need to match the role.

You also have to provide medical clearance and show you have no criminal record that would make you ineligible. Your hiring must fit within the government's annual quota of work authorisations for foreign nationals.

If any of these are missing, for example insufficient documented experience or a quota that is already full, the employer's permit request can be refused even when the job offer is genuine.
