Can I change universities or study programmes on the same permit?

Your student permit is tied to the institution and programme stated in your application. If you transfer to a different university or change your programme, this affects the basis of your permit and must be communicated to the Migration Department.

Depending on the change, you may need to update or reapply for your permit and provide new enrolment documents. Do not assume the existing permit automatically covers a new school, as studying outside the approved basis can jeopardise your status.
