Typical documents include proof of remote employment or company ownership abroad, bank statements showing the required income, medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000, accommodation proof and a criminal record certificate.
The file must show three things: that your work is genuinely remote and foreign-sourced, that you earn enough, and that you are otherwise admissible. So you provide your employment agreement or company-registration documents, and bank statements covering the required income period.
You also supply medical insurance with at least EUR 30,000 of cover for the stay, proof of accommodation in Romania such as a rental agreement, a clean criminal record certificate and often a tax-compliance certificate from your home country.
Documents commonly need certified translation by a sworn translator. Incomplete or untranslated paperwork is a frequent cause of refusal, so prepare the full set before applying.
