Does Romania have a digital nomad visa?

Romania introduced a dedicated digital nomad long-stay visa through Law 22/2022. It is open to non-EU nationals who are employed by, or who own, a company registered outside Romania and who carry out their work remotely using information and communication technology. Applicants must show income of at least three times the Romanian average gross monthly salary, valid private health insurance and proof of accommodation. The visa leads to a residence permit issued by IGI. Confirm the current income threshold, which is updated against national wage statistics, before applying.
