The Intra-Company Transfer Card lets a multinational move a manager, specialist or trainee from a non-EU branch to its Czech entity. It implements the EU ICT Directive in Czech national law and is for staff already employed within the group.
This permit handles transfers from outside the EU into a Czech branch of the same company or group. It is reserved for managers, specialists and trainees — not for people applying for jobs on the open market.
Typical requirements include at least six months' prior employment with the sending company before the transfer, a letter of transfer setting out the role, duration and working conditions, and proof of specialised knowledge (or a university degree for trainees), plus a valid passport, accommodation and medical insurance. Processing is listed at 90 days for initial applications and 60 days for extensions, with a CZK 5,000 consular fee for initial applications from abroad and CZK 2,500 for extensions in Czechia.
Because the minimum employment period and documentation can be updated, confirm the latest details on ipc.gov.cz before the transfer begins. ACME frequently supports both employers and the staff being relocated, and can map out the requirements ahead of time.
