Do I have to pass a Polish language test for the EU Long-Term Resident permit?

Demonstrating Polish at around the B1 level is a standard condition for this permit. You can prove it with an official state language certificate, or with a diploma from a Polish school or higher education institution where Polish was the medium of instruction.

Some applicants, such as minors below a certain age, are exempt from the language requirement. If you need to obtain a certificate, plan ahead because exam scheduling and documentation take time, and a missing language proof is a common reason applications stall.
