Does the real estate have to be from an approved list?

Not every property in Antigua and Barbuda counts toward citizenship. You must buy from the government's list of approved real estate development projects, and the qualifying investment must be a minimum of US$300,000.

The approved-projects list is published by the Citizenship by Investment Unit and changes over time, so confirm a project's current status before committing. Buying an unapproved property, or one priced below the threshold, will not satisfy the requirement even if you complete the purchase.
