Croatia grants temporary stay for study for up to one year at a time. Once approved you receive a biometric residence permit and must register your address shortly after arrival.
Because studies usually last longer than a single year, you renew the permit for each subsequent period of study as long as you remain enrolled and continue to meet the conditions such as health insurance and sufficient funds. Apply for renewal before your current permit expires to avoid a gap in your legal stay.
