Can I add my children to the onshore Partner visa after the subclass 820 is granted?

You can include a dependent child when you lodge the subclass 820 application, or add a dependent child after lodgement but before the temporary visa is decided. After the subclass 820 is granted, you cannot simply add family members to the application.

To include a dependent child in the permanent subclass 801 application after the 820 grant, the child must first apply for and be granted a Dependent Child visa (subclass 445), and the child must be in Australia. Once they hold the 445, you complete Form 1002 and attach it in ImmiAccount, then notify the Department through the Partner Processing Enquiry Form. If you have a baby after applying, you must let the Department know.
