The usual problems are incomplete financial proof, applying before you are finally admitted and have paid any tuition, missing health insurance for short courses, and out-of-date bank statements.
The single biggest cause of delay is submitting an application that is missing documents, especially solid evidence of guaranteed maintenance funds for the whole permit period. Applying before you have been finally admitted to a full-time, on-site programme (and paid any required tuition) is another frequent error.
Other recurring issues include bank statements that are too old, no comprehensive health insurance on courses under a year, and unclear or incomplete copies of your passport. Applying early, with complete and current documents, gives the best chance of a fast, positive decision.
