How much Canadian work experience do I need for the Canadian Experience Class?

The CEC requires a minimum of one year of qualifying skilled work experience in Canada, equal to 1,560 hours, accumulated within the three years before you apply. This can be full-time at one job (30 hours/week for 12 months), an equal amount in part-time work, or full-time at more than one job. The work must have been paid (wages or commission) and performed while you held authorized temporary resident status. Volunteer work and unpaid internships do not count toward the requirement.
