Do I need Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for a subclass 500 visa?

Overseas Student Health Cover is a mandatory condition of the Student visa. It must cover you, and any dependents included on your visa, for the whole period you are in Australia.

You normally arrange OSHC before your visa is granted and keep it current for as long as you study. Allowing it to lapse breaches your visa conditions. Some students are exempt under specific arrangements, but most international students must hold continuous OSHC.
