Your spouse or registered partner and your minor children can apply for residence permits on the basis of family ties to you as the sponsor. If your employer uses the fast-track / certified-employer route, family members can sometimes receive their decisions quickly.
Family members usually need to apply from abroad and visit a Finnish mission to prove their identity before travelling. A residence permit granted on the basis of family ties normally carries an unrestricted right to work and study in Finland, but the end date of a family member's permit cannot be later than the end date of your own permit.
