A permanent resident visa cannot be issued unless the adoptive parents or sponsor have obtained information about the child's medical condition.
For an adopted child or an orphaned brother, sister, nephew, or niece, IRCC will not issue a permanent resident visa unless the adoptive parents or sponsor can demonstrate they have obtained information concerning the child's medical condition.
This requirement ensures the sponsor is aware of the child's health situation before the move. The child also undergoes the standard immigration medical examination as part of the application process.
