The subclass 300 visa is a multiple-entry visa for as long as it is valid, so you are not locked in once you arrive. This is useful if you need to visit family overseas or tie up affairs in your home country before the wedding.
Keep in mind that the visa must still be valid each time you re-enter, and the requirement to marry within the validity period continues regardless of your travel. Plan trips so they do not eat into the time you need to organise the marriage.
