If you plan to stay longer than three months, you must register no later than three months after you arrive in Norway.
EU/EEA nationals have the right to live, work and study in Norway, but if your stay will exceed three months you must register under the EU/EEA scheme. The deadline is within three months of arrival.
You can move and start working straight away; registration is a formality that documents your right of residence rather than a permit you wait for before beginning work. Missing the deadline can cause problems later, for example when proving your residence history.
