Can my spouse and children join me while I study in Denmark?

Family accompaniment depends on the type of programme. If you are enrolled in a state-approved higher-education programme, your spouse or registered partner and children under 18 may apply to join you. However, for applications submitted from 2 May 2025 onward for programmes that are not state-approved, accompanying family permits are not available. Check whether your specific programme is state-approved before assuming family can come.
