Not every job can be filled through this permit. There is an ineligible list of occupations, and roles on that list cannot be granted a General Employment Permit no matter how high the salary.
In addition, the role must meet the applicable minimum salary threshold, with some sectors having specific lower thresholds set by policy. Before applying, both the employer and applicant should confirm the occupation is not excluded and that the offered salary clears the relevant minimum.
