Applicants aged 18 to 67 must usually pass an oral Norwegian test at least at level B1 and pass the citizenship test or a social studies test in Norwegian.
If you are between 18 and 67, you generally have to document Norwegian language skills by passing an oral test at a minimum of level B1, or otherwise proving sufficient Norwegian.
In addition, you must pass either the citizenship test or the social studies test taken in Norwegian, or otherwise document sufficient knowledge of Norwegian society. There are exemptions from these tests for certain applicants, for example on health grounds, so check whether an exemption applies to you.
