Eligible students can work up to 24 hours per week off campus while classes are in session, following a rule change that took effect November 15, 2024.
The off-campus work limit during regular academic sessions is now 24 hours per week. This increased from the previous 20-hour limit when new International Student Program regulations took effect on November 15, 2024.
Working more than 24 hours per week while classes are in session violates your study permit conditions. A breach can cost you your student status and may make you ineligible for future study or work permits, so it is important to stay within the limit.
