Yes. Intra-EU mobility lets researchers with a valid permit from another EU state carry out short stays in Slovenia, while longer stays require a Slovenian research permit.
The EU researcher framework includes mobility rights. If you hold a valid researcher permit issued by another EU Member State, you can come to Slovenia and carry out part of your research for a short period based on that existing permit.
For longer-term mobility, you must apply for a Slovenian residence permit for research, generally within the required window after arrival, at a diplomatic mission or the administrative unit. Confirm the current day limits and notification requirements before you travel, because the rules differ between short-term and long-term mobility.
