Spouses and minor children can join a skilled worker in Germany through family reunification. To ease this, the requirement to prove sufficient living space was dropped for the spouses and minor children of certain skilled workers.
There are also wider family options for some categories. EU Blue Card holders who first received their card on or after 1 March 2024 may, under certain conditions, also bring their parents and parents-in-law to Germany.
