It is strictly for unpaid voluntary work for a charity — you cannot be paid for the work the visa is granted for.
The Charity Worker visa is part of the Temporary Work route and is intended only for genuinely voluntary, unpaid work that directly supports a charity's aims.
You cannot use this visa to take a salaried role. If you receive payment, the position would fall outside the route. Reasonable reimbursement of expenses is different from a wage, but the core of the role must be unpaid volunteering.
