The EU Blue Card is for highly qualified non-EU workers who hold a relevant higher education qualification (or, where the law allows, comparable high-level professional experience) and have a job offer for a qualified role in Poland.
The EU Blue Card is a temporary residence permit aimed at highly qualified employment. The core test is that you have the qualifications the position requires and an employment contract for a role that matches those qualifications. In most cases this means a completed university degree relevant to the job.
For certain professions, recognised high-level professional experience can substitute for formal academic qualifications where Polish law permits. Your employer's job offer and the salary it pays are central to the assessment, so the role must genuinely be a qualified, well-paid position rather than general or unskilled work.
