You need at least 2 years of full-time work experience (or the equivalent part-time) in your skilled trade within the 5 years before you apply.
To qualify, you must have at least two years of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time experience) in a skilled trade during the five years before you apply.
The experience must be in a trade that falls under the eligible skilled trades groups of the National Occupational Classification (NOC), and you must have actually performed the duties of that trade, including the essential ones. You also need to meet the job requirements for the trade as set out in the NOC, except for any requirement to hold a certificate of qualification.
