For the 482, primary applicants normally have to show a minimum level of English by achieving a set result in an approved English language test, unless they qualify for an exemption (for example based on nationality or qualifications).
You also need the skills and work experience required for your nominated occupation, and depending on the occupation a skills assessment may be required. Your employer's nomination must match your skills to the role, so make sure your qualifications, experience and English evidence are in order before lodging.
