Common reasons include not satisfying the genuine visitor and intention-to-leave test, weak financial or travel evidence, and choosing the wrong stream.
A central requirement is that you are a genuine visitor who intends to stay temporarily and leave at the end of your visit. Applications often fail when the Department is not satisfied of this, for example where ties to your home country seem weak.
Insufficient evidence is another frequent issue, such as unclear funds to support the visit, vague travel plans, or inconsistent information. Applying under the wrong stream for your real purpose can also cause problems.
To strengthen an application, provide clear evidence of your purpose, funds, accommodation, and reasons to return home, and apply under the stream that genuinely matches your visit. Honest, consistent, well-documented applications fare best.
