No. You cannot do paid or unpaid work for a UK company or as a self-employed person, apart from a permitted paid engagement or event.
The ETA is for visits, not employment. You may not take a job, run a business, or do unpaid work for a UK business while travelling on it.
The only narrow exception is a permitted paid engagement or specific permitted event. If your purpose is to work, you need the correct work visa instead - relying on an ETA for work can lead to refusal at the border and future immigration problems.
