The Digital Nomad Visa is for people who work remotely for foreign companies; the Non-Lucrative Visa is for people who do not work at all and live on passive income or savings.
Both let non-EU nationals live in Spain, but they suit different situations. The Digital Nomad Visa is a work route under the Startups Law: you actively work remotely, mainly for clients or an employer outside Spain, and must meet an income threshold based on the minimum wage. The Non-Lucrative Visa, by contrast, does not allow any work or professional activity in Spain — it is designed for the financially self-sufficient (often retirees) who can prove sufficient regular passive income or savings (benchmarked against the IPREM) plus private health insurance. Choose the Digital Nomad route if you will keep working remotely, and the Non-Lucrative route if you can support yourself without working.
