You generally need a valid travel document, proof of enrolment or study purpose, health insurance, evidence of sufficient funds and a clean criminal record where required.
You can apply at a Croatian diplomatic mission or consular post abroad, and visa-required nationals may also apply directly at a police administration or station in Croatia.
Close family members of students can apply for temporary stay as close family members of third-country nationals, subject to the usual conditions.
The permit can be withdrawn once the conditions it was based on no longer exist, such as ceasing enrolment or breaching the permit terms.
