Do I need a hosting agreement to get Hungary's Researcher Residence Permit?

The Researcher Residence Permit is built around a hosting agreement you sign with an accredited Hungarian research organisation. The agreement sets out your research project and its timeline, and the organisation must commit in writing to cover the costs of removal if you overstay.

Without this agreement in place you cannot apply on this route. Your permit's purpose is tied to the research described in it, so make sure the project, host institution and dates are all correct before you submit.
