Once granted, citizenship is for life and can generally be passed to future descendants, while the passport is renewed periodically.
Citizenship obtained through the programme is permanent once granted, provided it was not obtained by fraud and you meet any conditions such as the real estate holding period. It is not a temporary status that expires.
The passport document itself has a validity period and must be renewed when it expires, but that is a routine document renewal, not a renewal of your citizenship. Citizenship can also generally be transmitted to children and future descendants under Saint Lucia's nationality rules.
