Does part-time work income affect converting my Italian student permit to a work permit?

Part-time work during your studies is intended to support you, but it does not by itself give you a work permit. To switch from study to work you need a proper job offer from an Italian employer, with a contract specifying the hours and the applicable collective agreement.

The key thresholds are that the role must offer more than 20 hours per week and a gross annual income above approximately 8,500 euros. A part-time student job that meets those terms, or a full-time offer on graduation, can form the basis for conversion, which can now be requested at any time of year.
