Applications are submitted to AIMA, typically in person following a scheduled biometrics appointment.
Once you meet the requirements, the Article 80 application is filed with AIMA, the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum. Applicants generally attend a scheduled appointment where biometric data is collected and the supporting documents are presented.
Because appointments and document checks are central to the process, prepare your full file in advance, including proof of five years of residence, your A2 language certificate, evidence of income and your criminal-record authorisation. Booking and attending the AIMA appointment is a required step, so allow time for scheduling.
