How quickly can I settle on the Global Talent visa - after 3 or 5 years?

Settlement timing depends on how you were endorsed. If you were recognised as an established leader ('exceptional talent'), you can apply for indefinite leave to remain after three years of continuous residence.

If you were endorsed as an emerging leader ('exceptional promise'), the qualifying period is five years. Either way, you must still meet the continuous residence and other settlement requirements. Indefinite leave to remain lets you live, work and study without time limits and can lead to citizenship.
