In your Express Entry profile you must declare whether your spouse or common-law partner and dependent children will accompany you to Canada as permanent residents. An accompanying spouse can contribute up to 40 CRS points for factors such as their language ability, education, and Canadian work experience.
The core human capital maximum is 500 points with no accompanying spouse, or 460 points with one, plus up to 40 for the spouse's factors. Dependent children are included in the application but do not add CRS points.
