
Countable pay generally includes your base salary, fixed supplements, labour-market pension contributions and holiday allowance, while benefits in kind such as a company car, free housing, canteen, or phone and internet are not counted.
The authorities look at your guaranteed, monetary remuneration when assessing whether you meet the salary threshold. Pension contributions paid as part of your package and your holiday allowance can be included.
Non-cash perks are excluded because they are not part of the fixed salary. Your salary must also be paid into a Danish bank account in your own name, typically within 180 days of the permit being issued, so the agency can confirm you are actually receiving the agreed pay.
