The subclass 407 is sponsor-driven. Before you lodge your visa application, your sponsoring organisation must have applied to be, or already be approved as, a sponsor of the relevant class, and they must nominate the training you will undertake.
The nomination sets out the occupational training or professional development you will do, which must fall within the visa's recognised training types. Your visa application is then assessed against that approved nomination.
Because the process runs through the sponsor and nomination first, much of the work happens before you apply. Coordinate closely with your sponsoring organisation so the nomination is in place and accurate.
