How many hours can I work while studying in Belgium?

Belgium allows international students to work alongside their studies within limits. Non-EEA students can generally work up to 20 hours per week during term time, provided the work does not interfere with their studies.

During official holiday periods the 20-hour weekly limit does not apply, so students can work more during those breaks. Because student work is conditional on remaining a genuine student, your studies must stay your main activity – working beyond the rules can put your residence at risk.
