Can I change employers or move to another EU country on a Hungarian EU Blue Card?

During the first year of your Blue Card, you may only work in the approved high-qualification role. Changing employer, ending employment, or significantly modifying your job duties requires submitting an extension application through the Enter Hungary platform.

For EU mobility, holders who have already spent a qualifying period as a Blue Card holder in another Member State (for example 12 months in a first state, or six months in a second) can apply for a Hungarian EU Blue Card without restarting the qualification requirements, making intra-EU moves more practical.
