Owning the approved property does not by itself require you to relocate, and the programme has not historically imposed a minimum residency period. All applicants aged 16 and over must, however, attend a mandatory interview as part of due diligence. In June 2026 the Unit announced plans to introduce an in-country visit requirement for applicants, so the position is changing; verify the current rule with an authorised agent before applying.
