Can I move to another EU country with a German EU Blue Card?

The EU Blue Card is designed to support mobility across the EU. After holding the card and residing in Germany for a qualifying period (commonly referenced as around twelve months), you can move to another participating EU member state under simplified rules to take up Blue Card employment there.

The destination country still applies its own procedure and conditions, so check that state's requirements in advance. Family members can generally accompany you under the mobility framework.
