Language test results must still be valid when you apply, and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) is valid for 5 years.
Your language test results (such as IELTS or CELPIP for English, or TEF/TCF for French) have an expiry date and must remain valid at the time you submit your permanent residence application. If you apply with expired language results, IRCC will refuse the application.
An Educational Credential Assessment is valid for five years from the date it is issued. If your ECA expires while you are in the pool, you must update your profile, so always track both expiry dates carefully.
