Not automatically, but caregiver work experience can support a separate permanent residence application, such as through the Home Care Worker Immigration pilots.
A caregiver work permit by itself is a temporary status and does not grant permanent residence. However, the experience you gain can help you qualify for a dedicated PR pathway. Canada has offered caregiver-specific PR routes, including the Home Care Worker Immigration (Child Care) Class and (Home Support) Class. To move from temporary work to PR you must apply separately under whichever caregiver immigration program is open and meet its work experience, language, education, and job-offer requirements.
